Will and Clay’s Grant Humphrey’s Mansion LGBTQ Wedding in Denver

What do you get when you take two successful worldly Denverites and throw an urban fall wedding on one of the most perfect days of the year? A beautiful celebration in the historic Quality Hill neighborhood at Grant Humphrey’s Mansion. Will and Clay’s big day was such a meaningful event with so many family and chosen family there to celebrate with them.

The traditional Chinese tea ceremony started their day. They received advice on marriage from elders and friends. It was held on the second floor of the mansion in the Bridesmaid’s Room. Then they processed from either side of the ornate elevated porch to their wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful day with the large mature trees and green grass as the background. They took turns watering a tree for prosperity and then processed down the aisle after their vows with beaming smiles. We photographed the entire crowd from the porch.

Cocktail hour was on the South Terrace followed by a dinner in all of the main floor rooms of the mansion. They made creative table decorations by visiting Denver neighborhoods and Clay’s photographer mother took a photo of them in each neighborhood that was placed on each table to help guests find their seating. They had catered Snarf’s sandwiches and Illegal Pete’s along with Boba Tea, why not just choose your favorite foods for your special day?!

They wanted to make sure they got to visit with every guest so they went from table to table for a toast. They cut the cake and headed downstairs to the Ballroom for dancing and a bar set up in the Bowling Alley. Music was provided by Dancin Shoes DJ and Lighting. They hired Sweetie Pie Weddings to plan their special day. She was amazing and kept everything running smoothly so the grooms could just enjoy their party.
